1. Data we collect
- Account data: your name, email address and profile photo as provided by Google sign-in, or your phone number if you sign in by phone, and your account ID (via Firebase Authentication).
- Usage data: numeric counters only — number of requests and units consumed per day, and the task type (reply / translate / proofread / summarise).
- Subscription data: purchase token, subscription state and period, as sent by Google Play.
- Technical protection data: IP address, timestamp and request ID to prevent abuse, and an App Check token to confirm the request comes from the genuine app.
2. Accessibility Service — full disclosure
- Valtrox uses Android's accessibility service to read the conversation text shown on your screen, for one declared purpose: to understand the conversation so it can suggest a fitting reply, and to write that reply into the message box when you ask for it.
- Data the accessibility service collects: two types, and only these two. Name — the name of the person or group shown at the top of the chat and any names appearing inside the messages, collected so the suggested reply addresses them correctly and in the right tone. Messages — the conversation text visible on your screen and the draft you have typed, collected to write a suggested reply, translate, proofread or summarise it. Neither is stored on our servers, written to logs, or shared with anyone.
- Only with your explicit consent: before you are sent to system settings, the app shows a disclosure listing exactly the data above and asks you to accept or decline; nothing is read unless you accept, and you then enable the service manually in system settings. You can withdraw that consent at any time from Settings inside the app, or turn the service off from system settings.
- On demand only: we read the screen only at the moment you tap the bubble to ask for a reply, translation or proofread. No automatic background reading and no continuous monitoring.
- Only the apps you choose: the bubble works inside messaging apps only, and you may exclude any of them. Disabling an app is enforced in the reading layer itself.
- What we never read: passwords, secure input fields, or any app outside messaging apps.
- No storage: screen text is sent encrypted to our server to generate the suggestion, then discarded from memory immediately. It is never written to our database or our logs; server logs redact text content at the code level.
3. Third-party processing
To generate replies and translations, the conversation text is sent to the AI model provider Anthropic (Claude API) for processing and return. We also use the following Google services: Firebase Authentication (sign-in), Cloud Firestore (account data and counters), Firebase App Check, and Google Play Billing (subscriptions). We do not sell your data and do not share it with any advertiser.
4. Retention
- Conversation content: never retained.
- Usage counters: stored aggregated per day for billing and limits.
- Account and subscription data: kept while your account exists.
- Technical protection logs: kept for a limited period, then deleted.
5. Your rights
You can delete your account and all of its data from inside the app (Settings → Delete my account), or request a copy of your data at support@valtrox.app; we respond within 30 days. Turning off the accessibility service or uninstalling the app stops all screen reading immediately.
6. Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
7. Security
All traffic is encrypted with TLS, access to your data is restricted to your account by database-level security rules, and every call verifies the device and app identity before it runs.
8. Changes and contact
We may update this policy and will publish the new effective date on this page. Contact: support@valtrox.app
